Europe has been the destination of an unprecedented number of forcibly displaced peoplein recent years due to the conflicts in Syria and Iraq . Currently ,Turkey has been hosting the largest number of refugees in the world, with over 3 million refugees. The massive influx of forcibly displaced persons have brought about many challenges , sometimes overwhelming the emergency handling capacities of the host countries.
Making the commitment to serve migrants in the field of education affects every dimension of the field, organization, coordination, outreach, curriculum, environment, effective communication and and community collaboration. The key factor is educators who can understand, respect, and work successfully with migrants. Educators who are well equipped to build connections, earn trust and ensure a non-discriminative learning environment will contribute enormously to the overall integration efforts. With this consideration on mind, the project targets educators and trainers who work with migrants on a day-to-day basis.
